Last week whilst leading a Light and Land tour I made the call to stay out of the national parks over the weekend to avoid the crowds and decided to take the group into the desert wilderness to visit the very remote White Pocket in the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness in Arizona. Most of the time the skies here are pretty interesting during the daylight and then the clouds just vanish about 30 minutes before sunset.
