If you bought Lightroom but haven’t managed to get “comfortable” using it, this course is for you! Lightroom is a spectacularly powerful package that can transform the speed and ease of managing and editing your images. However, to get to that level takes a little bit of work…..
…so why not make that step easy by joining a small group of like-minded photographers to sort out your initial worries and build confidence and understanding. We will help you discover Lightroom’s full capability. We will speed up everything you do so you can spend less time in front of the computer and more time out on location.
You will be provided with a printed manual to scribble on and a memory stick with all the sample images we will be using on the day.
Location & Facilities
The group size is limited to 10 places. You will be using your own computer in a spacious room at The Arch London, a hotel just a stone’s throw from Marble Arch in Great Cumberland Place. Tea & coffee are provided. There will be a break for lunch (lunch is not included) where you can choose to work through with your own packed lunch or take advantage of the campus facilities.
We aim to cover the following topics during the day but additions and alterations can be agreed by consensus on the day.
• Quick review of storage locations and backup
• Calibrating your screen
• A detailed look at localised adjustments and fixing problems
• Adjusting Detail & Lens correction
• Synchronising edits
• The Lightroom Print module
• Printer calibration and soft proofing
• How to quickly review and select from lots of images
• Smart Collections - automate your filing
• Exporting from Lightroom
• Automated import using Develop presets
• Using Lightroom on two computers – How to travel with Lightroom
Who Should Attend
This workshop is ideal for those who have used Lightroom before but are not sure they are using it properly or fully. This workshop can be a follow-on from the beginners course if you are reasonably confident with your computer. You will be working on your own images, or sample images if you prefer, in a small group, with plenty of ‘hand holding’ with one of the best teachers in the business.
Give yourself the focused time you need to move your Lightroom skills to the next level.
