Join Antony Spencer on an incredible journey of one of the worlds most photogenic landscapes- Iceland.
This will be a journey like no other. We will have a 4x4 capable of getting us into some of Icelands more remote areas such as Hveravellir and Landmannalauagar. As well as exploring this alien landscape we will also spend 8 hours making images from a helicopter over what has to the greatest and most varied landscape on the planet from above. Snow covered volcanoes, glaciers, mountains, beaches and the gorgeous river deltas will all be photographed.
Using a helicopter not only will we be in a position to make images from the air but we will also be able to land in otherwise inaccessible locations such as on glaciers themselves and mountain peaks and hidden waterfalls, canyons and geothermal regions. There is no end to the possibilities.
Iceland has many incredible river deltas and using Antonys experience of these we will make many images of each location. The helicopter will have the rear door off as well as having an opening window for the front seat. We will be alternating seating positions so that each of the four participants has a chance to photograph without glass in front of them.
When we are not in the air we will be utilising all available light and spending time processing our images together also.
This tour is a leading lights tour which means it is limited to only four participants. This enables Antony to spend much more time with each person to maximise tuition. We will be staying at Golden Circle apartments in Laugavatn. Each person will stay in their own bright and modern open-plan apartment with a well-equipped kitchen, seating area with satellite TV and scenic nature views.
