Light & Land

Summer Photography Competition

9th September 2018

In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we are holding a monthly photography competition.  All images taken on one of our tours or workshops and uploaded to our online gallery during the month would be entered.  Over the summer we have combined July and Augusts uploads together, we saw some stunning photography added to the Gallery Page, featuring images from our tours to Tuscany, London, Knoydart, Wengen and Romania to name just a few!

The Light and Land team voted and then the top ten were judged by our founder and leader Charlie Waite, who spent time studying and judging each image before picking out the winning photograph and two runner up images.

Congratualtions to Howard Rankin whose photograph "Discworld" was voted the winner.  This image was taken on our tour of Tuscany, and is a multiple exposure based on a modern art installation in the main pool at Bagno Vignoni.

Congratulations must also go to Helen Fennell whose image "Angel Wings" taken on on our London Old and New workshop led by Paul Sanders is our first runner up.  It is an abstract of the sculpture Angel Wings in London.

And last but by no means least, congratulations to Dennis Craggs whose image "Alpine Panorama " is also in runner up position.  This photograph was taken during our tour of Wengen in the Swiss Alps led by Sue Bishop and Charlie Waite.

We can't wait to see the images uploaded to the Gallery in September!  Remember all photographs uploaded must have been taken on a Light and Land tour, the winner will receive a Mindshift Filter Hive.
