Winter on The Jurassic Coast in Dorset is a superb time for landscape photography. The sun is almost as far around to the South as it gets, opening up a host of locations during the golden hours. With sunrise at a leisurely 7:42am there really can be no better opportunity to come and explore The Jurassic Coast with Andy.
We will begin our day at Durdle Door where the sun can be seen rising through the arch - a truly amazing sight.
After breakfast we will head onto St Aldhelms Head where there is an old chapel as well as some spectacular views down the Jurassic Coast. We plan to head to Kimmeridge for sunset, where the sun will be setting out to sea. This rugged small bay is packed with rockpools, ledges and fossils galore. The variety of compositions available here is superb.
Our tutor Andy knows this area exceptionally well, so you’ll have a great day exploring some of his favourite locations with his expert tuition and guidance.
The workshop will begin at Durdle Door at 7am and will finish at Kimmeridge at around 5pm. This will be quite a long day but we will stop for breakfast and lunch (included in price). More detailed workshop notes will be availble to download soon after booking.
