Adobe Lightroom Workshop London - Getting started with Adobe Lightroom

Adobe’s Lightroom is probably the best photographic editor available.  It’s modestly priced, easy to use and available as a stand-alone program or part of Adobe’s “Cloud World” for the more connected photographers.

Despite Lightroom’s ease of use, getting started with any new program can be daunting.  So why not make it easy by joining us for a day packed full of help and advice.  We will help you set up your system and take you through the basics of managing and editing your images.  We will get your computer ready for the thousands of pictures you will be loading and editing over the years to come.  By the end of the day you should be confidently loading images and performing a wide range of adjustments, helping you make the very best of your images.

You will be provided with a printed manual to scribble on and a memory stick with all the sample images we will be using on the day. You will need to bring your own laptop with you.

Location & Facilities: Based in London at The Barge House, 46a De Beauvoir Crescent, London N1 5RY . The group size is limited to 10 places. Tea & coffee are provided.  There will be a break for lunch (lunch is not included) where you can choose to work through with your own packed lunch or take advantage of the local facilities.

Agenda
We aim to cover the following topics during the day but additions and alterations can be agreed by consensus on the day.

• Introduction to Lightroom, how it works and why it’s different from other editors
• Creating a catalogue
• Importing your images
• Organising and finding your files
• Editing, including: straightening & cropping, Global adjustments, local adjustments, spot removal, graduated filter and B&W
• Getting your images out of Lightroom

Who Should Attend
This workshop is ideal for beginners or for those who think they are intermediate but have got into bad habits!  You will be working on your own images, or sample images if you prefer, in a small group, with plenty of ‘hand holding’ with one of the best teachers in the business.

Give yourself the focused time you need to get to grips with the basics and gain confidence with your computer.

Adrian will meet you at 9.30am at the entrance to the venue.  The workshop will finish at around 5.00pm.

"You are an excellent lecturer and your knowledge of Lightroom quite extraordinaire. I thought your tutorial was...excellent and I’ll certainly be looking at your website with a view to following it up in due course" - Tony L, March 2018

Tutor excellent kkkkkkkkk

Tessa - 17th May, 2019

The scope of the corse and the teacher were excellent and I learnt a lot. The information from Light & Land was not good resulting in me booking and arriving for the workshop without a laptop and fortunately the tutor was able to let me use his computer so the day was not lost!

Kayleigh - 16th May, 2019

This was my first workshop with Light and Land although I have been on others before with different companies. This was the most fun out of all of the workshops I've attended, and I feel I came away having learnt a lot from the day. Booklets were provided to help guide us with the post production and printing - I'm still using my booklet at home to help me with my editing!

Emma - 16th May, 2019
