Iceland is incredible at any time of year but through the winter months when the landscape is transformed by a covering of snow and ice it becomes even more spectacular than ever. The highlights of our Iceland photography tour this November will be frozen waterfalls, beaches littered with icebergs, snow covered volcanoes and mountains and of course Aurora Borealis.
The six night tour is to get a taste of Iceland's wonderful south coast and hopefully have a very good chance or two to make images of the northern lights as we travel.
This Iceland photography tour is limited to six participants and will be led by Antony Spencer.

Iceland Photography Tour - Iceland Landscape Photography
Iceland is incredible at any time of year but through the winter months when the landscape is transformed by a covering of snow and ice it becomes even more spectacular than ever. Frozen waterfalls, beaches littered with icebergs, snow covered volcanoes and mountains and of course Aurora Borealis will be the highlights of the tour. This six night tour is to get a taste of Icelands wonderful south coast and hopefully have a very good chance or two to make images of the northern lights as we travel.
The first three days will be spent on the Central South Coast of Iceland at Vik. Based here we are perfectly positioned to photograph the local area including the sea stacks at Vik and Dyrhólaey, Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss and beyond. In winter we may find the waterfalls frozen and the landscape covered in snow right down to the ocean with any luck. These landscapes will look wonderful in daylight but also at night where we will capitalise on any chances to make images of the auroras. The coastline here is very rugged and dramatic with giant waves and some remarkable rock formations.
Then for the last leg of the tour we will base ourselves near Jokulsarlon at Hofn. We will be based just a few minutes from the iconic Verstrahorn Mountains where will spend a couple of days photographing this remarkable landscape. Views of the Vatnajokull Glacier, icebergs in the lagoon and the black volcanic beach covered in diamond like icebergs will also be visited at Jokulsarlon. The glacier lagoon and beach is a world class location for landscapes and for night images of the northern lights. We will capitalise on any usable light as much as we can.
Please note- A reasonable degree of fitness will be required to negotiate a possible icy terrain from time to time.
This Iceland photography tour is limited to six participants.
Antony’s excellent photographic skills combined with his knowledge of the Iceland Landscape, made this trip an adventure that I will cherish forever.
Great experience overall. The places we went to were absolutely fantastic and Tony was as amazing as a a guide can be.
For tours outside of the UK, we will select a recommended flight which will depart from a London airport to the destination. In most cases (unless stated otherwise), the tour leaders will greet you at the destination airport from this flight and return you to the airport at the end of the tour.
Please DO NOT book your flights until advised to do so by the office. Tours have to become viable before we select the recommended flight.
Once a tour has enough bookings to make it viable, you will receive an email to alert you that the recommended flights have been uploaded to your client area on the website.
You are welcome to make alternative travel arrangements. If doing so, please ensure you are at the destination airport for the arrival time of the recommended flight to ensure you can take the transfer to the hotel. Alternatively you can arrange your own transfers and meet the group at the hotel on the first night.
