Margate Beach Photography Workshop - Margate Coastal Photography

This one day workshop will focus on seascape imagery in an area that is packed in the most gentle way with traditional seaside charm, dramatic cliffs, tidal pools and sandy beaches. The coastline in this area is a soothing escape from hectic life and at a time of year when it will be devoid of tourists, we will have the opportunity to photograph this coastline in a relaxed and enjoyable manner.

After our initial meet at Turner contemporary cafe, where we will discuss our aims for the day with some gentle instruction and inspiration for the day, we will head out onto Margate's main beach. Filled with Vintage seaside allure, there are plenty of opportunities for quirky and unusual imagery, alongside seascapes.

Our day continues as we head over towards an area with white cliffs and and beautiful chalk stacks after lunch.

Margaret has a love of the coast and will share with you her thoughts on how to best connect and interpret the scenes in your own unique way. She will encourage you to slow down, consider your own experiences and how they influence your photography, as well as instruction on techniques such as using filters and longer exposures. Margaret is a gentle and encouraging tutor who is at her happiest when helping others.

The workshop will end at 4.30pm
