Our Prague photography tour in Black and White will take place in March with many opportunities for wide, long and detailed shots of this vibrant city. Prague, the historical capital of Bohemia, now the capital of the Czech Republic, is a gem of Baroque buildings, Gothic churches and even modern architecture. The “City of 100 Spires” is a warren of cobbled streets, alleyways and arcades dotted with churches and museums and served by a modern tram and metro network. Whilst Prague was bombed during the Second World War, very little of its historic architecture was destroyed, leaving an amazing array of grand, opulent and ancient buildings to discover.

Your Prague photography tour guides will be Adrian Beasley and Paul Sanders. Whether your interest lies in taking slow shots of speeding trams and gleaming rails, macro details of doors or wide shots of the interiors of synagogues and churches, there is something here for you.

Prague Photography Tour - Prague City & Landscape Photography

Prague today is a vibrant city of culture and the 4th most visited European city, after London, Paris and Rome.  It is a compact city with much to offer within a short walk, the frequent tram services adding a welcome rest for trips to the northern or southern departments.  Whether your interest lies in taking slow shots of speeding trams and gleaming rails, macro details of doors or wide shots of the interiors of synagogues and churches, there is something here for you.

We will be visiting in March, avoiding the heavy crowds of the warmer months and hoping to catch more changeable weather.  Prague is definitely a black and white city with copious opportunities for wide, long and detailed shots.

Oh, and did we mention the Cech obsession with beer?  In 1842 the Urquell brewery introduced the first golden-coloured larger to the world.  Its believed that 80% of all beer made today is a derivative of the Pilsner style.  In Prague, it is usually cheaper than bottled water.  After a long day of walking, some of you might be tempted to try some.

Paul and Adrian will will meet the group at 4pm on the 11th March in the hotel lobby (you can check into your rooms from 2pm).  The Prague photography tour will finish at 4pm on the 14th March to allow time for the group to get flights home.

  • NYX Hotel

The NYX Hotel Prague is perfectly located in the very centre of Prague, only 100 meters from the famous pedestrian zone, Municipal House and many cafes and restaurants. The famous Mucha Museum is located next to the hotel and the Old City is only a few walking minutes away.

You will be staying here on the 11th, 12th and 13th March 2021.

This black and white workshop took me back to my darkroom days only now my dodging and burning are done in Lightroom. Adrian and Paul ensured that we went to some great locations in the time we had. I'm incorporating some processing tips that I picked up from Adrian into my workflow and they are really helping my monochrome images.

Enjoying every moment of it! Great tour leads with superb photography and post-editing skills. Well-thought locations that can beat occasional trying wintry weather, great food and warm company. Only improvement point is perhaps a better-lit hotel.

Excellent tour. Adrian and Paul were first class leaders, making sure that we got to the best sites for photos and having alternative plans if the weather or other factors stopped us getting to the locations they had chosen. They provided plenty of advice and encouragement and kept us all laughing. I found Adrian's sessions on post-processing particularly useful. The hotel was good, we had some good meals and Prague is a wonderful, photogenic city. What more could you want?!

Great input from both photographers, Adrian Beasley and Paul Sanders who were both generous with their time and energy and who went out of their way to adjust schedules, refine plans and to show all the group as much of Prague as possible in the time, including finding subjects and locations to appeal specifically to individual members. The editing sessions were also very helpful and I think all the group appreciated the good nature, good spirits and good organisational skills of our photographer guides too
