Printing & Processing Workshop - Small Group in Somerset

06th Feb, 2022 - FULLY BOOKED

Tutored by Antony Spencer and

£349.00 pp

Approximately - Loading...

Our photography printing and processing workshop with Antony Spencer will take place in February. The final step of the image making process is arguably the most important and yet the least understood. The aim of these one day workshops is to ensure each participant will leave feeling confident to either print their own images at home, or have 100% confidence in the final files to be printed in a lab.

From a dedicated print studio in Somerset we will go over every element of printing and the processing involved to get the most out of the final print. Each participant will be able to make multiple prints and even some as large as A1 (24x36 inch) prints. We will go over in detail colour calibration, soft proofing, print sharpening, hard proofing and printing from Adobe Photoshop.

Printing & Processing Workshop - Small Group in Somerset

Photography Printing and Processing Workshop

The final step of the image making process is arguably the most important and yet the least understood. The aim of these one day workshops is to ensure each participant will leave feeling confident to either print their own images at home, or have 100% confidence in the final files to be printed in a lab.

From a dedicated print studio in Somerset (near Templecombe) we will go over every element of printing and the processing involved to get the most out of the final print. Each participant will be able to make multiple prints and even some as large as A1 (24x36 inch) prints. We will go over in detail colour calibration, soft proofing, print sharpening, hard proofing and printing from Adobe Photoshop.

Each participant will be required to bring their own laptops and hard drives or memory cards with processed images as well as the raw files of the images to be printed.

This will be a small group of just four to make sure we can keep a safe working distance. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided as well as packaging to take your prints away with you. There is a train station within one mile of the studio so Antony will be happy to collect and return anyone interested in travelling this way to and from the station.

Mr Anthony Mancell - 24th Sep, 2021

An excellent printing workshop, Antony took us through the details of the printing process, explaining them as we went through the morning. We then had plenty of time to put them into practice. With his guidance. A good location and good food provided made this an excellent day.

Excellent knowledge imparted by Tony Spencer.

22nd Sep, 2021

Antony Spencer's knowledge of photography, printing and Photoshop was superb. Our reception was friendly & hospitable, and each of us left with A1 or A2 size prints from our own pictures which Antony had processed or carefully checked our own processing. Directions to the property not clear and could do with improvement.

Very informative relaxed day, and good food! Tony was very helpful as I am a photoshop novice. We all came away with some great prints.

Mr David Daggar - 30th Nov, 2021

I found it faultless in every way.

8th Dec, 2021

Really relaxed introduction to printing, both the process and the nuances to achieve a great result on paper. Lots of hints and tips. I came away inspired to print more often. Tony was curious about our subject matter and shared some of his own work and other photographers in books which gave me more confidence to develop some my themes. Thank you for the delicious lunch and regular supply of coffee and tea.
