St Andrews Photography Workshop - St Andrews Beach Landscape Photography
What better way to immerse yourself in photography than a day spent in one of Scotland's most historic towns - St Andrews. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, medieval streets and a magnificent catherdal, there's an abundance of subjects to capture.
The town gives the perfect backdrop to this photography workshop based around the beaches of St Andrews. The West Beach is located on the eastern coastline of the Kingdom of Fife and is universally remembered for the opening scenes of the film 'Chariots of Fire'. It has almost 2 miles of uninterrupted sandy low gradient beach, with thirty metres of dunes extending from the Swilcan Burn to the Out Head and overlooking the Eden Estuary Nature Reserve, home to birds and seals.
You will meet Margaret at the West Sands car park at 10.00am, breaking for lunch at the museum cafe, overlooking the beach and the old golf course. The afternoon will see us explore the East sands, harbour and Cathedral.
The day will end at approx 5pm.
