Richard Young
Richard Young is a full-time nature and landscape photographer based in Wanaka, New Zealand. He has a passion for teaching photography and works to motivate and inspire people who join his workshops and tours. He has guided groups of photographers in New Zealand since 2010.
His vision has developed from years of capturing the grand vista to focus on an emotional and expressive engagement in the landscape he works in—to produce distinct and personal bodies of work. Richard’s landscape-focused work has won awards in numerous international landscape photography competitions, including winning the Best Landscape at the Banff Mountain Photography Competition in 2010. His work has been widely exhibited across New Zealand, Canada, America and England in solo and group exhibitions, along with display in his own gallery space in for seven years.
His recognition for creating exquisitely detailed fine-art prints and his extensive knowledge of printing has led him to become a brand ambassador for Epson Printers & Paper.
