An award-winning three acre garden surrounding a fine 18th century Manor House, Bourton House Garden was a new photography workshop location for 2017 and has become very popular since its introduction. The garden features luxuriant terraces and wide herbaceous borders with stunning plant, texture and colour combinations. Imaginative topiary includes a knot garden, parterre and topiary walk and there are several spring-fed water features including a raised basket pond from the Great Exhibition of 1851. You will also find a unique Shade House, a serene White Garden and a raised 18th century walk that provides an enticing link to the Cotswold landscape beyond.

The workshop will begin with a presentation by Sue Bishop about the techniques and aesthetic considerations of flower photography. The group will then go out into the gardens where they will put the theory into practice with Sue and Charlie's help and guidance!

Beautiful location Both Sue Bishop and Charlie Waite were so approachable and helpful. Very educational and despite having done a great deal of flower photography myself I learnt a great deal and came away with lots of fresh ideas

Really enjoyed the whole day. Presentation excellent. Workshop right balance of presentation and practice. Lovely location however did feel cold in the morning indoor area however I understand that the venue changed the access. Both Charlie and Sue ensured every participant received one to one contact and advice. I feel my macro images will definitely improve from workshop attendance. Both have a relaxed style which is based on a wealth of knowledge and experience. No hesitation in recommending these workshops and will book again with Light and Land.

Inspirational Sue and Charlie are experts in their field but still retain an unpretentious, friendly and supportive style. A thoroughly enjoyable and productive day Many thanks
