Our Exmoor photography workshop 'Coast and Rivers' will take place in June 2021 with Peter Hendrie. Following the success of the 'Britain’s Best Walks' series with Julia Bradbury, we have decided to cover some of the best parts of this particular walk from a photographic viewpoint.

Exmoor is Britain’s third smallest National Park. It covers an area of some 275 square miles with a variety of topography from Heathland, Combes, Rivers, Gorges and most notable the hogs back cliffs (the highest in England) that span much of the coastline of North Devon.

We will endeavour to photograph scenes from this walk in their natural beauty, capturing a moment in time from whatever conditions unfold before us. The landscape of Exmoor is very special to me as it’s been my home for many years allowing me to capture it in all of it’s guises and in all weather conditions.

Exmoor Photography Workshop - Exmoor Coast and Rivers Photography

Following the success of the 'Britain’s Best Walks' series with Julia Bradbury, we have decided to cover some of the best parts of her Exmoor walk from a photographic viewpoint.

COAST AND RIVERS OF EXMOOR:

Exmoor, Britain’s third smallest National Park, covers an area of some 275 square miles, covering a variety of topography from Heathland, Combes, Rivers, Gorges and most notable the hogs back cliffs (the highest in England) that span much of the coastline of North Devon.

We will meet around 9.00am in Lynmouth car park and finish around 5.00pm allowing us ample time to discover and capture this majestic part of Great Britain.

There will be a lot of walking on this photographic workshop, we will endeavour to capture images that truly represent the scenes that unfold before us, in other words whatever to weather, we will portray that scene in its natural state helping enhance the moment with the use of a comprehensive composition, supported by the use of filters.

Throughout the day we will try various techniques to help broaden our horizons on improving our imagery but still using the natural elements that are displayed in front of us, like a Polariser filter, Neutral Density Filters, standard Density Filter and Small & Big Stopper Filters. Intensional camera movement (ICM) is a fun thing to try and indeed can look spectacular given the right circumstances.

If you would like to stay overnight in the area we can recommend the The Exmoor White Horse Inn.
