South Wales is often recognised for the obvious beauty of the Brecon Beacons, but it also has a rugged expanse of coastline that is an absolute treat for any photographer with an interest in capturing seascapes.

Our Glamorgan Heritage Coast photography tour aims to show off some of the gems this part of the world has to offer. We’ll explore the extraordinary geology of Nash Point to the unmistakable landmark of Three Cliffs Bay. There is a wildness to this part of the country that can reveal itself in changeable, interesting weather and swirling seas. There are compositions to be found as the tides subside, as well as in the dunes and the weathered cliffs. Not only will we explore the grandeur of such scenery, but give time to engage with the whole ecosystem that such a landscape supports.

South Wales Coast Photography Tour - Glamorgan Heritage Coast Photography

We’ll visit Nash Point with it’s epic rock formations that make for an intriguing composition, whatever the weather. The rugged coast has claimed many shipwrecks over the centuries and Nash Point lighthouse stands stalwart atop the cliffs.

Dunraven Bay – Locally known as Southerndown beach, this little bay is a treat for coastal photography with it’s swathe of sandy beach giving rise to many rock pools when the tide is out.

Further down the coast into the South Gower, we’ll visit Rhosili Bay with it’s views over the gower peninsula and golden beaches, as well as The Mumbles with it’s Victorian pier and associated lighthouse.

Finally, we’ll spend time at Three Cliffs Bay with it’s distinctive namesake cliff face looming over the coastline. Whether you’re interested in the rugged rockface or the sea itself, there’s plenty for the aspiring coastal photographer.

The tour will begin at 3pm on 25th meet at the hotel. It will conclude on 25th at approx 3pm to allows time for travel home.
