We will enter as the gardens open and enjoy the tranquility and perfection that can only be achieved by an early morning visit.

We will also explore some of Holland’s colourful bulb fields, and photograph the stunning lines of hyacinth and tulips. These extend over vast areas, and here both the wide angle and telephoto lens can be used to great effect.

Holland is also famous for its windmills. We will visit the mills of Schermerhorn –a UNESCO world heritage site, to photograph, looking out for the ultimate prize of finding windmills and tulips in the same place!

An afternoon and evening walking tour of Amsterdam is included, offering you a number of chances to capture stunning images of this vibrant city. The architecture is amazing, and street photography opportunities abound.

Everyone has heard of Edam cheese, but not everyone knows that the small town of Edam is beautiful and very photogenic. With its tiny canals, wooden houses and cobbled streets, you will find yourself in a world away from bustling Amsterdam where you arrived into the country.

By mid-morning the crowds start to build and you can concentrate on strategies to photograph individual blooms, colours, patterns and macro.

The tour concludes back at Amsterdam airport where you may choose to take an early evening flight or extend your stay to explore this wonderful country a little longer.

This itinerary has been put together for us by Charlotte Bellamy, a very accomplished photographer who lives in Holland, and will accompany us on the tour.  It will take us to places Charlotte has discovered that are well off the usual tourist track. Charlotte has lived in The Netherlands for 7 years. She is an experienced landscape and abstract photographer and runs her own photography business in Holland. She will be sharing her extensive knowledge of the area to offer a unique experience that will ensure photographic opportunities unique to this tour.”

For tours outside of the UK, we will select a recommended flight which will depart from a London airport to the destination. In most cases (unless stated otherwise), the tour leaders will greet you at the destination airport from this flight and return you to the airport at the end of the tour.

Please DO NOT book your flights until advised to do so by the office. Tours have to become viable before we select the recommended flight.

Once a tour has enough bookings to make it viable, you will receive an email to alert you that the recommended flights have been uploaded to your client area on the website.

You are welcome to make alternative travel arrangements. If doing so, please ensure you are at the destination airport for the arrival time of the recommended flight to ensure you can take the transfer to the hotel. Alternatively you can arrange your own transfers and meet the group at the hotel on the first night.
