Know when to turn away from a landscape photograph that you thought would ‘work’ but realised that it would not.
What criteria of judgement do you call upon to make that decision?
Work with Charlie on all elements of a landscape photograph: Balance, relationships, design, geometry, colour, placements, revealing, concealing, highlights, shadows and light.
Each participant has the opportunity to ask questions of Charlie over each session. Learn from Charlie in this relaxed environment from the comfort of your own home.

Excellent opportunity to hear and discuss, in a small unhurried group, how a Master like Charlie thinks about landscape photography, his advice, and his experience ( both successful, and occasionally, less so) of turning thought into image.
It was enlightening to hear Charlie's comments on details of his images and little items to consider beforehand.
Being locked down at home for almost a year due to high rates of Covid I was feeling dull and lethargic. Charlie's enthusiasm was the inspiration I needed to get me back on track. His first lesson on 'Relationships' helped me look at composition in a different way and motivated me to look for local photo opportunities.

I was one of the first to register, knowing it would be popular and not wanting to miss out. His comments on how to think about photographs while making the image and after developing them should help me improve my own image making. It wasn’t at trip! It was Charlie’s 5 sessions on Thinking Photography. Very Charlie - thoughtful, careful analysis of the thinking behind each set of photographs. Themes were well chosen though I found the last one on trees a little disappointing perhaps because I was particularly looking forward to this one. Low key, informative, relaxing series of sessions. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic, Charlie is a great tutor, a gentle approach and very encouraging.
It was great to hear Charlie's thoughts about his pictures- both the good aspects and also those parts he would have preferred to have changed! I found it really interesting to deal with 5 different aspects of landscape photography and also to hear input from others on the course. We all had something to learn. A great idea to dispel the Lockdown blues and inspire us . Thank you
