Spotlight on… Paul Sanders

9th January 2017

Would you like to get to know our Professional photographers better? Our new weekly feature will do just that ...

This week the Spotlight is on... Paul Sanders!

✭ How long have you worked for L&L?

"I'm quite new really only 18 months.

✭ When did you discover photography?

"When I was 14 I used to steal my dad's camera on a Saturday morning when he went shopping with my mum, I'd wind his film out put mine in, shoot pictures then remove my film and replace his carefully winding on the film to the number he was on before I started."

✭ Which camera do you use?

"I shoot with Fuji mirrorless cameras, they're light, small and don't get in my way."

✭ Favourite place you’ve visited?

"My favorite place is Glen Coe in Scotland it's raw beauty never fails to inspire me."

✭ What’s your favourite image of yours?

"I fall out of love with my own images very quickly but my favourite at the moment is this image from last trip to Cuba, taken in a nail bar as we joked with the ladies having their nails painted, I don't really do street photography for once I captured the moment one of the ladies exploded into laughter."

✭ What’s your favourite food?

"Steak and Ale pie"

✭ If you could be any animal what would it be?

"I'd be a hippo I can't think of anything more fun than rolling around in mud all day and being happy about it."
