Light & Land
Light and Land Leaders Dinner
18th August 2017
Light and Land were thrilled that so many of our leaders were able to join us for a lovely evening spent in The Green Room restaurant situated just behind the National Theatre in central London for our annual leaders dinner. It was a delight to reminisce with leaders such as Sue Bishop and Phil Malpas about the 25 year history of Light and Land as well introducing new leaders Terry Gibbins, Mark McColl, Andy Farrer and Luke Whittaker to the team.
Charlie Waite handed out awards to the leaders during the evening, including "The Queen of Cornwall" award to Carla Regler, "The Guardian of Bosham" to Luke Whittaker, "The Twitter King" to Doug Chinnery and "The Madonna Award (like a virgin)" to Mark McColl - who is yet to lead his first tour for Light and Land since joining us. His first tour will be Torridon and Wester Ross in September.
As well as celebrating leaders first tours, we also couldn't forget the fantastic achievement of Phil Malpas who celebrated his 100th tour whilst in Santorini this year. Huge congratulations Phil!
As always a big thank you to all our leaders who work so hard to build and lead our fantastic tours and workshops.
Light and Land is now looking forward to a very exciting year ahead celebrating our 25th Anniversary!
