Maine and Vermont

19th August 2016

New England in Fall: Trip of a lifetime... Is the opinion of The Telegraph travel journalists Katy Arnold and Paul Wade, and we couldn’t agree more!

In a recent article they describe the constant change of colours during a trip; "As for the intensity of colour, the familiar red maple flaunts bright red leaves. Black maples turn gold, while sugar maples can be fiery vermilion, yellow or orange. Sumac and sourwood are crimson; dogwood turns purple and birch gold; hickory is gleaming bronze. At ground level, blueberry barrens and cranberry bogs provide splashes of scarlet. In September and October, days are sunny and warm, but nights turn chilly. This drop in temperature triggers the change in leaves. A cold snap can alter the landscape almost overnight. Chlorophyll production grinds to a halt, allowing the natural anthocyanins (reds and purples) and carotenoids (oranges and lemons) to show through the leaves." So as you can imagine during 12 days in Maine and Vermont the range of photos you could capture are vast and ever changing during the trip, how very exciting!

Don't just take our word for it, here's what our Light and Lander's have said of their experience;

“Thank you both again for such an inspiring workshop. You provided us with great locations, much needed help and support and lots of fun and laughter. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This was my first workshop with Light and Land and, based on this tour, will definitely book again.”

We have very few spaces left on our trip leaving !st October so if you're tempted act now....
