June’s photography competition
10th July 2018
In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we are holding a monthly photography competition. All images taken on one of our tours or workshops and uploaded to our online gallery during the month would be entered. June saw some stunning photography added to the Gallery Page, featuring images from our tours to Tuscany, Knoydart and Burgundy to name just a few!
The Light and Land team voted and then the top ten were judged by our founder and leader Charlie Waite, who spent time studying and judging each image before picking out the winning photograph and two runner up images.
Congratualtions to Anthony Jacobson whose photograph "Before the Storm" was voted the winner. This image was taken on our tour of Tuscany on the road between somewhere beautiful and somewhere gorgeous according to Anthony!
Congratulations must also go to Marian Guess whose image "Onwards and Upwards" taken on the same tour led by Charlie Waite and Sue Bishop is our first runner up. "Much rain before our arrival gave us wonderfully lush crops rolling over the Tuscan hills and highlighting the undulating tracks".
And last but by no means least, congratulations to Julia Moffett whose image "Tongue Lochan" is also in runner up position. This photograph shows the detail of the reeds at the dawn shoot at Tongue during our tour of Knoydart led by Ben Osborne.
We can't wait to see the images uploaded to the Gallery in July! Remember all photographs uploaded must have been taken on a Light and Land tour, the winner will receive a Mindshift Filter Hive.
