Our Light and Land Austria photography tours include visiting Hohe Tauern, the largest national park in the Alps covering almost 1,900 square kilometres and stretching across the three federal states of Salzburg, Tyrol and Carinthia.
Home to Austria's highest peak, the Grossglockner, Hohe Tauern has around 15,000 indigenous animal species and 3,500 plant species. The landscape is wonderfully varied with more than 300 glaciers, waterfalls, alpine lakes, mountain pastures and wildflower meadows.
