Once the nerve centre of the North East’s world-leading ship building and coal mining industries, Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a wonderful, vibrant, forward-looking city with a fabulous mixture of old and new, dominated by the mighty river Tyne as it carves its last few miles out to the North Sea.
Our Newcastle photography tours and workshops explore the city’s famous landmarks and architectural styles whilst concentrating on developing creative photography techniques such as Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and In Camera Multiple Exposures. From the Georgian curves of Grey Street to the Norman Castle Keep and the extraordinary set of bridges that cross the water, there is nowhere else quite like it in the country. Add in the famous Geordie welcome that you invariably get in this part of the world, and it is a brilliant place to spend time with a camera.
