Have you ever explored the concept of ‘creative photography’ with your camera; Intentional Camera Movement or Multiple exposures? Creating textures or looking at your subject matter in a more abstract manner? Maybe you have much experience, and would love the opportunity to experiment further with the support of an experienced photographer to guide and suggest possibilities. Alternatively, you might be a complete novice in these techniques and relish the opportunity to explore the possibilities these offer with your camera with the support of a creative photographer recognised the world over for her knowledge in these specialisms?

Last year, Charlotte ran two dates which sold out within hours of coming on sale. This year she returns again, to offer this unique one day workshop at The Sculpture Park in Farnham - a true photographer’s playground. The park’s two-mile trail winds through 10 acres of beautifully cared-for woodland and water gardens, featuring more than 600 outdoor sculptures. Here, diversity abounds:  wood, water, glass, and metal sit side by side; colour, texture, line, and form are everywhere you look. Movement and stillness, energy and calm - all wait to be discovered and photographed.

The Art of Play - Creative Photography Workshop Amongst Sculptures and Nature

This day will be an exploration, a chance to play and experiment with your creativity to your heart’s content. Our location for this workshop is every creative photographer’s dream. Sculptures galore of every imaginable type. Textures, light, shape and colour. Wood, metal, glass, large and small. All, hidden along gently winding paths through the park. A perfect place to explore and experiment with your creativity, whether it be ICM, multiple exposures, abstract, black and white, or just creating a library of textures.

All levels of photographer’s welcome. Phone, DSLR or mirrorless (or any other camera) welcome. Charlotte will find out from you before the day, your aspirations and wishes for the day, and tailor your support and 1:1 time during the day accordingly.

The day will be carefully directed with elements of teaching, exercises to attempt, and time to practise with Charlotte’s support as she works with each of you on an individual basis.

As a bonus, after lunch, we will have access to a meeting room, during which, Charlotte will dig a little deeper into the concepts behind multiple exposure. We will walk through live examples using images she has captured at that location with you. There will then be time to return out to the park to put the learning into practice before we finish for the day.
