Our Story of Paris photography tour will take place in September 2027 and will be led by Flavio Bosi and Peter Fenech.
Paris is a bustling, modern city, but look closely, and it demonstrates an eclectic blend of styles. The purpose of this tour is to explore the many faces of the French capital through the ages, from the rustic cobbled streets of the Artist’s Quarter, Montmartre, to the elegant Boulevards of the mid-1800s, the industrial ironwork of the early 20th Century, and finally the recent glass towers. This patchwork of themes provides the photographer with a great opportunity to practice adapting their technique and camera settings to tell a story.

The Story of Paris
Many photographers may think they know Paris. After all, its landmarks feature heavily in the photographic media and in cinema. However, there is far more to this metropolis than the Eiffel Tower, although as we’ll learn on the tour, it is our job to find unconventional images of recognisable subjects. By looking deeper at what makes Paris unique, we’ll discover a city like no other in Europe, focusing on the little details in the architecture and street scenes that convey what it means to be a Parisian.
Traversing right across the city, from Montmartre in the North, to Bir Hakeim in the West, and the Latin Quarter to the South of the River Seine, we’ll get to sample every flavour Paris has to offer, through both its people and its buildings. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how this great European Capital evolved through the centuries, while learning the essential photographic techniques to capture unique images in one of the most famous places on Earth.
Your tutors Flavio and Peter have a special passion for street and documentary photography, as well as creative cityscape imagery, so you can be sure they will help you explore each location with greater purpose and find compositions that might otherwise pass you by.
