Printing is the pinnacle of the photographic process - the final, and many people believe, most satisfying step, but one that is so often missing in our Insta-book world. If you want to start printing at home, have been struggling with printing, or want to prepare images for a commercial printer then this workshop is for you. During this two-day workshop you will learn about the full printing process from two experienced and enthusiastic printers, Andy and Adrian. You will learn how to set up your computer, colour manage, interpret, edit and prepare your images before finally printing them on a range of papers and finishes.

Photography Printing Workshop

Andy Farrer won Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2015 and has been a photographer for most of his career. For Andy, the capture of his images is the start of a journey where the processing is as important and enjoyable as the capture itself. Andy has always been very connected to the print aspect of photography, since seeing his first black & white print emerge in the developer in a camera club darkroom. Currently enjoying a 100% digital workflow, from capture to print, he still finds it as rewarding and even more consistent than his wet darkroom days. Andy now has a professional print studio near his home, which will be our base for this workshop.

Adrian Beasley has taught C&G Photography, Black & White developing & printing, Photoshop and Lightroom workshops for over 15 years and has been involved with computers since school. He spent his early years working and teaching darkroom techniques, progressing to his own large format digital printing system at the turn of the century! He has a very engaging and relaxed teaching style. Adrian is an ACE (Adobe Certified Expert).

Check-in at The Springfield Hotel is from 3pm on Monday 8th July and the workshop begins at 9am on Tuesday 9th, concluding in the afternoon of Wednesday 10th. We will be in touch to arrange a Monday night shoot in advance of the workshop for those interested.
