One cannot speak of Florence without mentioning the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, also known as the Duomo. Its terracotta-tiled dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, dominates the skyline and provides a breathtaking subject for any photography enthusiast. The intricate façade, adorned with marble panels in shades of green and pink, offers endless opportunities for detailed photographs. We plan to climb the adjacent belltower - the views from the top are spectacular!

The Ponte Vecchio, with its medieval stone arches and bustling shops, is one of the most photographed landmarks in Florence. Its unique design, coupled with the shimmering reflections on the Arno River, makes for a picture-perfect setting, especially during sunset.

For nature and landscape photographers, the Boboli Gardens offer a serene retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. These historic gardens, located behind Palazzo Pitti, are a masterpiece of Italian garden design. With its manicured lawns, ornate fountains and panoramic views of Florence, the Boboli Gardens provide us with a perfect setting for capturing the beauty of nature and the artistry of garden design.

Florence's charm extends beyond its iconic landmarks to its narrow streets and hidden alleys. The cobblestone paths, lined with centuries-old buildings and artisan workshops, offer a glimpse into the everyday life of Florentines. Every turn reveals a new perspective, from colourful storefronts to quaint courtyards, making Florence a photographer's dream.

One thing is certain – Florence will capture your heart, and you will return with memories and photographs to treasure!
