Our 'Wild About Flowers' photography workshop will take place in July 2026 with Astrid McGechan and Charlie Waite.

Join us for a day of creative exploration in the beautiful surroundings of the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Hampshire. This workshop is designed for anyone with a love of flowers and a curiosity about how best to photograph them - whether you’re using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or even a smartphone. Surrounded by the garden’s rich variety of blooms, colours, and textures, we’ll explore ways to convert what we see into beautiful photographs.

Wild About Flowers - A Photography Workshop

Wild About Flowers Photography Workshop
We can use a variety of lenses – wideangle, telephoto and of course macro lenses, and we’ll discover the expressive potential of creative techniques such as Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and multiple exposures. We’ll also explore how to make the most of using a smartphone camera, and how different types of lenses and techniques can capture detail, softness, or abstraction.
